The Saint Gregory Chorale is a thirty-five member chorus that enhances our worship experience, singing at the 11:00 am mass each Sunday.

The choir presents special musical offerings for Advent and Christmas Season, Lent, and Holy Week, and the Easter Celebration. The choir presents a musical tribute each year in memory of Mayor Melvin Rambin, holding fund-raising dinner theatre shows, singing for weddings, ordinations, and first masses.

In July of 2003, the chorale sang in several cities in Italy, including at a Papal audience with Pope John Paul II.

Repertoire sung by the chorale include Renaissance, A Cappella pieces, American spirituals, contemporary Christian music, and music by the great masters.

The chorale has recorded 2 CD’s . The first was at Christmas 2003, titled “A Christmas Tapestry” in memory of Mayor Melvin Rambin. In 2004, they recorded a second CD titled “The Lord is My Shepherd.” Both feature the chorale, string, flute, clarinet and percussion.

Chorale rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 pm. Additional rehearsals are called for special programs. Members of the chorale receive a teaching-based learning program, including technique, repertoire, style and ensemble. Soloists from the group receive individual voice lessons.
