The Funeral Ministry was started as a way to help the family of the deceased during a very emotional time.  We contact the family to see what we can do to help.  We also have a group of ladies who prepare the food to take to the family.  Some also stay at the home to help while the family is at the funeral.  At the church another group of ladies prepare the church and set out the pall and holy water for the priest.  At times we area sked to be Eucharistic Ministers or Lectors, or just to fill in wherever needed.  Often those who attend funerals here at our church are visitors, so we welcome them and answer any questions they might have.
