It is with great pleasure that I serve the people of our parish as their secretary / receptionist. As I greet people each day, it is my privilege to fulfill the varied requests for information and assistance to those in our parish and those inquiring about our parish. I try to be warm and welcoming to all those who seek assistance here.
I take very seriously my obligation to faithfully record all sacraments celebrated in the parish. This includes baptisms, confirmations, marriages, and deaths. I also provide copies of those records when needed for the purposes of marriage, confirmation, and for entry into Catholic schools.
I keep the records of our membership roles. I try very hard to make sure all parishioners records are kept updated and current so that we can be in contact with them on a regular basis. I keep track of address changes, moves into and out of the parish, and new family members as they are added through birth and baptism or marriage.
One of my most important duties is to keep the candy basket filled with goodies for the kids (of all ages) who visit here. My favorites are the gummy worms!
My husband Chuck and I have been members of Jesus the Good Shepherd Parish since we moved to Monroe in 1967. I began work in the parish in 1985, with Fr. Moore as Pastor. (I had no idea what I was in for!) Our four wonderful children all are Catholic-school educated. I love to walk (5 miles a day!) and I love to read. I also enjoy ballroom dancing.
It would be my deepest and most sincere pleasure to have the opportunity to serve you in any way you might need. Please call or come by!
